Effective, respectful psychotherapy and  psychological services

Our services

Therapy

We offer psychotherapy for individuals and dyads (parents and babies) experiencing distress, adjustment, and/or relational difficulties during the antenatal and postnatal period - including depression, anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, attachment issues, and birth trauma. We are experienced in working with those struggling with fertility, baby/pregnancy loss, and assisted fertility/IVF. We also commonly work with people who wish to engage in a process of deeper reflection or understanding of themselves.

We are committed to a collaborative approach and draw on a range of evidence based assessment and therapeutic approaches including ACT, Mindfulness and Compassion based therapy, Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and CBT. We don’t believe in a ”one size fits all” approach so we are dedicated to tailoring our approach to suit your unique concerns and needs.

Couples Support / Therapy

It is common for couples to experience distress and upheaval in the perinatal period given the significant transitions that occur in this period of life. Having a space to work through new and pre-existing issues can be essential preparation to not only resolve challenges but also to strengthen and build resilience in your relationship.

We have specialist training in relationship work in the Perinatal Period and also other modalities including Emotion Focused Couples Therapy.

Supervision / Consultation

We also offer Clinical supervision to other mental health professionals, and frequently support other medical professionals such as doctors and midwives who may be noticing that they are struggling with processing a particular event, are experiencing adverse impacts to their wellbeing, or who would like to deepen their knowledge and skillset around perinatal mental health.

Perinatal Emotional Wellbeing Workshops

Maybe it would be useful to have an opportunity to meet with a perinatal psychologist as part of your antenatal or coffee group? We can offer practical and supportive information and strategies that can help you to get the most out of your transition to parenthood, and also offer the opportunity to ask some of those questions that may be on your mind but be difficult to ask!

We are dedicated to normalising and demystifying the ups and downs of the perinatal period so that you can gain a greater understanding of what might be impacting you at this time in your life and also how to most effectively find your way through, build resilience, and nurture your wellbeing along the way.

Parenting support & Early Relational Health (Infant Mental Health)

We can work with you around specific parenting challenges from newborn to pre-school age. Through sessions we can address whatever is on top for you including (but not limited to) how to build a positive relationship with your child, understand their needs better, and foster secure and healthy attachment.

Importantly we are passionate about supporting parents to build on their strengths and regain a sense of confidence and joy in their parenting (and their little ones!).

Clinical Education

Watch this space! We are in the process of developing and finalising some workshops and courses relevant for new and experienced clinicians who would like to deepen their knowledge and skillset around perinatal mental health. We can develop workshops to suit the needs of your workplace or organisation.

Please reach out to us if you have something specific in mind that we can help you with. Our team have specialist training in adult teaching, public health, and clinical education, and are skilled at developing and delivering engaging, informative, and highly practical training solutions.

“I am so thankful for your support during my pregnancy. I don’t think I would have been able to get through without our sessions. You’ve made such a difference to my life and I can’t thank you enough”
